4-52 Model D9858 Advanced Receiver Transcoder Installation and Operation Guide 4023074 Rev B
Setup Menu: Outputs: TS Out: MOIP1, Continued
Parameters: Auto, User. The table below describes the affect each of the settings
has on the output bit rate.
User Rate
Description: This parameter controls the output rate. It is only used if Rate
Control is set to User. This setting is used when the signal source is
RF or ASI. Note that output data may be lost when the user-selected
bit rate is set to a value that is less than the actual signal bit rate.
This allows you to set the output bit rate to a value expected by
equipment connected to the ASI output.
Parameters: 0 to 999.99999 Mbps.
Rate Control Description
Auto The output rate follows that set by the
uplink. The output rate will be the same as
the input rate (including all null packets).
This means the output bit rate is determined
automatically based on the input source
symbol rate and FEC value.
User The output rate is specified as the Output
Rate parameter. It is determined by the user
setting regardless of the input source.
