Monitoring the Charge in a Battery Pack
Increasing the Accuracy of Battery Charge Displays
Follow these guidelines to increase the accuracy of all battery
charge displays:
â–
Allow a battery pack to discharge to the low-battery level
through normal use before charging it.
â–
When you charge a battery pack, charge it fully.
â–
Calibrate a new battery pack before you charge it.
â–
Check the calibration on a battery pack that has not been used
for 2 weeks or more before you charge it.
Using the Charge Display on a Battery Pack
(Battery Quick Check)
The battery quick check feature enables you to monitor the charge
in a battery pack when the battery pack is not in the computer.
To display the percent of a full charge remaining in a battery
pack, press the button
1
on the battery pack.
Each charge level light
2
represents 20 percent of a full charge.
For example, when all five lights are on, the battery pack is fully
charged.
NOTE:
The location of battery quick check features may vary
among battery packs.
