WARNING

After tting the temporary spare wheel,
check the tyre pressures as soon as possible.
Failure to do so may cause an accident. The
tyre pressure is listed on the back of the left
front door frame ›››page373.

Do not drive at over 80km/h (50mph)
when the temporary spare wheel is tted on
the vehicle: Accident risk!
●
Never travel more than 200km using a
temporary spare wheel.
●
Avoid heavy acceleration, hard braking and
fast cornering: Accident risk!
●
Never use more than one temporary spare
wheel at the same time, risk of accident.
●
No other type of tyre (normal summer or
winter tyre) may be tted on the compact
temporary spare wheel rim.
●
If you are driving using the spare wheel,
the ACC system could automatically switch
o during the journey. Switch o the system
when starting o.

Removal
●
Fit the plastic clip (vehicle tools ›››Fig.204)
over the cap until it clicks into place
›››Fig.239.

Remove the cap with the plastic clip.
The caps protect the wheel bolts and should
be remounted after changing the tyre.
The anti-theft wheel locking bolt has a spe-
cial cap. This only ts on anti-theft locking
bolts and is not for use with standard wheel
bolts.

Loosening the anti-theft wheel bolt

Remove the wheel trim or hub cap.

Insert the special adapter ›››Fig.240

(vehicle tools ›››page336) onto the anti-theft
wheel bolt and push it on as far as it will go.
●
Insert the wheel brace (vehicle tools) onto
the adapter as far as it will go.
●
Remove the wheel bolt ›››page380.
Note
Make a note of the code number of the anti-
theft wheel bolt and keep it in a safe place,
but not in your vehicle. If you need a new
adapter, you can obtain it from the special-
ised CUPRA service or the SEAT Oicial Serv-
ice, indicating the code number.
