6. Type exit to exit the Admin CLI.
Depending on your device configuration, you may be presented with an Access selection
menu. Type quit to disconnect from the device.
Use the MQTTbroker service
MQTT is a lightweight publish/subscribe messaging protocol for the Internet of Things (IoT)
applications, designed to connect devices using a small footprint and minimum network bandwidth.
Your IX30 device includes an MQTTbroker service that serves as an intermediary between
MQTTclients. The broker receives and distributes client messages.
Required configuration items

Enable the MQTTbroker.
n
MQTTclient usernames and passwords.

Topic access control for each client.
n
Encryption type.
n
How to control client access to topics on the MQTTbroker.
Additional configuration Items
n
The port used by the MQTTbroker.
n
Access control list to limit downstream access to the IX30 device's MQTTbroker.

Include debug messages in the system log.

Whether to allow anonymous clients.
n
Whether to allow clients that have no client IDto connect.

Whether replace the client's IDwith its username.
Web
1. Log into Digi Remote Manager, or log into the local Web UI as a user with full Admin access
rights.
2. Access the device configuration:
Remote Manager:
a. Locate your device as described in Use Digi Remote Manager to view and manage your
device.
b. Click the Device ID.
c. Click Settings.
d. Click to expand Config.
