2.9.2 Reader Sensor (1 and 2)
Parameter Options: On, Off
Access Level: Read–3
The Reader Sensor parameter indicates whether a carton is
currently seen by the carton sensor connected to Product Sensor
Reader 1 or 2 port of the OCU unit and triggers the Reader 1 or 2
bar code scanner to read.
2.9.3 Reader Scan Enable (1 and 2)
Parameter Options: On, Off
Access Level: Read–3; Write–3
When the Reader Scan Enable parameter is set to On (enabled),
the Reader 1 or 2 scanner will be triggered to read.
The user must set it to Off and back On again to get the Reader 1 or
2 scanner to retrigger and read a second time. The bar code data
that is read will be displayed inside the Reader 1 or 2 Data field also
shown on the Machine Diagnostics / OCU menu.
2.9.4 Reader Data (1 and 2)
Parameter Options: On, Off
Access Level: Read–3
The Reader ID Data parameter displays inside square brackets the
actual formatted bar code data read by Reader 1 or 2 bar code
scanner. The format displayed, which may include bar code type,
number of characters, and the characters read, is configured by the
scanner utility software and programmed into the scanner before
operation.
