The startup behavior of easy800 devices with a display can be set. The
startup behavior is an important aid during the commissioning phase. The
circuit diagram which easy800 contains is not yet fully wired up or the
system or machine is in a state which easy800 is not permitted to control. If
the easy800 device is then switched on, it should not be possible to activate
the outputs.
Set the Startup behavior in the system menu.
Activating RUN MODE
▶ Switch to the system menu.
If the easy800 device shows RUN MODE å, the device will start in RUN
operating mode when the supply voltage is switched on. However, if there is
no circuit diagram in the device, it will stay in STOP operating mode until a
circuit diagram is entered or downloaded.
▶ Otherwise select
RUN MODE and press OK.
RUN mode is activated.
▶ Press ESC to return to the status display.
Deactivating RUN MODE
▶ Switch to the system menu.
▶ Select
RUN MODE å and press OK.
The RUN mode function is deactivated.
The easy800 device is factory set with
RUN MODE å displayed, i.e. the device
starts in RUN operating mode when the voltage supply is switched on.
Behavior on deleting the circuit diagram
The setting for the startup behavior is a device function of easy800 standard.
When the circuit diagram is deleted this does not result in the loss of the
setting selected.

If the easy800 device is password protected, the System menu
is only accessible after the device has been unlocked
(￫ Section “Unlocking 800“, from Page 300).
