8.5 Setting time
easy800 devices feature a real-time clock with date and time functionality.
The function blocks HW and HY can be used to implement time switch
applications.
Setting time and date
If the clock is not set or easy800 device is switched on after the battery
backup time has elapsed, the clock starts with the setting
WE 1:00 2002-05-01. The easy800 clock operates with date and time so that
hour, minute, day, month and year have to be set.
Select SET CLOCK… from the main menu.
This will open the menu for setting the time.
Choose SET CLOCK here.
Set the values for time, day, month and year.
Press OK pushbutton to activate Entry mode:
úí Select the position.
ÍÚ Change the value of a parameter
OK: Save day and time
ESC: Retain previous setting.
Press ESC to leave the time setting display.
Summer/winter time
The easy800 devices are fitted with a real-time clock. These devices can be
automatically switched between summer and winter time. These are subject
to different legal requirements in the EU, GB and USA.

The DST setting you have defined is always linked with the
program. When commissioning systems controlled by easy800
for worldwide use it may be necessary to set and store this
program also with the regional DST setting.
For these kinds of easy800 devices for worldwide use, use the
“Rule” option for a DST setting.
