3.11 Putting the SmartWire-DT into operation
For a better understanding read chapter „SmartWire-DT“, Page 282, before
commissioning SmartWire-DT.
Before switching on, check whether the power supply for the easy800-SWD
is connected correctly. The installation of the SWD line must also have been
carried out correctly with all stations connected.
You must have completed the following steps before commissioning:
1. POW supply voltage is connected
( section “800 SWD”, page 28).
2. If necessary, connect the AUX supply voltage if contactors are used
( section “800 SWD”, page 28).
3. SmartWire-DT connected to easy800-SWD
( section “Install SmartWire-DT”, page 67).
4. All configured SWD stations are connected to the SWD line.
5. The bus termination must be connected.
Commissioning
Switch on the POW supply voltage on the device.
The status of the LEDs on the device is as follows:
POW-LED:green continuous light
SWD-LED:red flashing
Config. LED: off
The SWD status LEDs on the SWD stations also flash green.
Press the Config configuration button on easy800-SWD for at least 2 s.
The status of the LEDs on the device is as follows:
POW-LED:green continuous light
SWD-LED: orange flashing (during addressing);
then continuously lit green (after addressing)
Config. LED: green
DANGER
Unforeseen motor startup or unexpected connection of voltages
may cause death. When switching on the device, ensure that
the device switches to a controlled and safe operational state.
