Connecting incremental encoders
The easy800 standard DC version and EASY806-DC-SWD allow you to
connect an incremental encoder to each of the digital inputs I1, I2, I3 and I4.
This enables you to count high-speed incremental values independently of
the cycle time. The incremental encoder must output two 24 V DC square
wave signals with a phase offset.

Connect the inputs, for example, to pushbutton actuators, switches or
relay/contactor contacts.
Input signal voltage range
R1 to R6 (EASY410…), or R1 to R12 (EASY6…)
Signal OFF: 0 to 5 V.
Signal ON: 15 to 28.8 V.
