3. After you restart the units:
If no warning appears, log on to COM 3 of the unit that was the master before the
units were powered off (see step 1). Synchronize the data in both units by using the
sync
command (see Chapter 3) on the unit that contains the most up-to-date
subscriber data.
If the warning message is still on screen after you restart the units, disconnect the
faulty unit and check the RF watchdog functions (see section 6.2 for detailed
instructions).
4. If the problem persists, then the backup unit requires specialized maintenance. Contact
Electrolines technical support department for assistance.
Master unit error
If there is a problem with the master unit, the units will switch roles, i.e. the backup unit
becomes the master. Both units will show a warning in the redundancy system section of the
startup screen. As well, the backup unit (new master unit) will indicate that there is an error
with the other unit.

1. Identify the master unit (the status line reads MASTER).
2. Power off both units and restart them (see section 6.4.3) so that the RF watchdog
circuitry is reset.
3. After you restart the units:
