Section 8 Instruments Calibration
MicroVission Controller • Operation and Service Manual • Emerson • 35391MV 1.3
Auxiliary Inputs
Page 4 and Page 5 of the Calibration screen allows the
operator to dene the parameters of an installed auxil-
iary analog instrument. These instruments are usually
not part of a typical compressor set-up but MicroVission
provides a way for the operator to add additional capa-
bilities. The layout of this screen is typical to the pressure
and temperature calibration screens.
NOTE
The Discharge 2 Pressure and Temperature tabs will be
only visible here if “Analog Input 1” Board is enabled and
the number of cylinders congured are 12 or 16 in the
conguration screen.
Device Calibration
These setpoints allow the operator to dene what the in-
put from the auxiliary instrument means in terms of unit
and range. If a temperature measuring instrument is
connected, then the operator would select temperature
from the Unitsdropdown box then set the minimum
and maximum value for the scale.
Channel Calibration
The Channel Calibration section denes the type of sig-
nal sent by the Instrument.
Offset: Once the two-point calibration is complet-
ed, it is common for a small error to exist. By enter-
ing the value of the error from the calibrated value
and the actual value into the “Adjustment” entry
box, that error will be added/subtracted from the
“Total Offset”. The offset is applied to the calibrated
value which should correct the error.
Range: Here the operator denes the signal type
and range transmitted by the Instrument. The op-
erator can select from several predened ranges in
the drop-down list or enter a value.
