Use this field To
Switch:
Spanning Tree State Enable or Disable Spanning Tree on the Switch. It is recommended to
leave STA enabled on the switch and disable STA on a port by port
basis if needed.
STA Version Select the version of Spanning Tree to run on the switch. The options
are STP Compatible, RSTP, and MSTP.
Legacy Path Cost Set Legacy Path Cost to Enabled or Disabled. By default, legacy path
cost is disabled. Enabling the device to calculate legacy path costs
affects the range of valid values that can be entered in spantree
adminpathcost.
Auto Edge Set Auto Edge to Enabled or Disabled.
Hello Mode Set the Bridge Hello Mode to Enabled (Use Global Value) or
Disabled (Use Per Port Values). By default Bridge Hello Mode is
enabled and uses the global hello time for all ports.
Topology Change
Trap Suppress
Use this command to disable or enable topology change trap
suppression on Rapid Spanning Tree edge ports. By default, RSTP
non-edge (bridge) ports that transition to forwarding or blocking cause
the switch to issue a topology change trap. When topology change trap
suppression is enabled, which is the device default, edge ports are
prevented from sending topology change traps. When topology change
trap suppression is disabled, all ports, including edge and bridge ports,
will transmit topology change traps.
Max Hop Count
(0-255)
This is the maximum number of hops that the information for a
particular Spanning Tree instance may traverse (via relay of BPDUs
within the applicable MST region) before being discarded.
Tx Hold Count
(1-10)
Specifies the maximum number of BPDUs to be transmitted before
transmissions are subject to a one-second timer. Valid values are 1 to
10. Default value is 3.
