cdp timer
Use this command to set the frequency with which the switch transmits a CDP
packet on all enabled ports. Use the no form to restore the default setting.
Syntax
cdp timer seconds
no cdp timer
seconds - The time between CDP packet transmissions.
(Range: 5-900 seconds)

Example
This example sets the CDP transmit frequency to 200 seconds.
cdp (Global Configuration)
Use this command to enable CDP globally for the switch. Use the no form to restore
the default setting.
Syntax
cdp {run | auto-run | disable-run}
no cdp
• run - Enables CDP for the switch. Ports process CDP packets depending on
the port CDP setting.
• auto-run - Enables CDP for the switch in auto-enable mode.
• disable-run - Disables CDP on the switch.

Command Usage
• When the global CDP setting is Auto-enable, all ports that are set to CDP
Auto-enabled do not send CDP packets until a CDP packet has been
received on any port that is not set to CDP disabled.
