spanning-tree priority
Use this command to configure the spanning tree priority globally for this switch. Use
the no form to restore the default.
Syntax
spanning-tree priority priority
no spanning-tree priority
priority - Priority of the bridge. (Range: 0 - 65535)
(Range – 0-61440, in steps of 4096; Options: 0, 4096, 8192, 12288,
16384, 20480, 24576, 28672, 32768, 36864, 40960, 45056, 49152,
53248, 57344, 61440)

Command Usage
Bridge priority is used in selecting the root device, root port, and designated
port. The device with the highest priority becomes the STA root device.
However, if all devices have the same priority, the device with the lowest MAC
address will then become the root device.
Example
spanning-tree default priority
Use this command to change the default spanning tree priority from 802.1t to
802.1D priority format. Use the no form to restore the default.
Syntax
spanning-tree default priority [802.1D-1998 | 802.1t-2001]
no spanning-tree default priority
802.1D-1998 - Specifies IEEE 802.1D format in increments of 1.
802.1t-2001 - Specifies IEEE 802.1t format in increments of 4096.
Default Setting
IEEE 802.1t format
