3.14 Gear changing3.14 Gear changing
Depending on the order, the gear unit can be changed to two gear stages. The gear change
mechanism is operated manually.
WARNING
Risk of injury by incorrectly changing gear stages
There is a risk of fatal injury from falling loads.
Only select a new gear stage when the gear unit is stationary. Before selecting a new gear
unit stage, ensure that the load hook is on the ground or that the output-side brake is en-
gaged. Only release the brake when a gear unit stage has been fully engaged and has
been enabled by the limit switch.
Make sure that the main drive motor can only be switched on when a gear unit stage has
been fully engaged and released by the limit switch.
The faces of the clutch teeth that engage as the clutch is actuated are bevelled. The clutch
rotates slightly as required until it moves from "tooth to gap position" automatically when the
connector ring is moved axially. Make sure that the pin of the locking button is engaged in
the bore provided after you have changed gear.
If the teeth make contact in such a way that the clutch does not rotate automatically, put the
clutch components into a position in which the gear can be changed.
Procedure
To put the clutch components into a position in which the gear can be changed, proceed as
follows:
1. Move the operating lever back into its starting position.
2. Make sure that the gear unit input shaft with coupling and motor is now freely rotatable.
3. Turn the input shaft by hand into a position in which the gear can be changed.
This procedure applies to all gears.
