If error messages are still present, use the Clear All function of the IIDTool.
Notes : During or after a conguration programming you may experience one or more of the following:
• It is normal to see warning lights appear on the display.
• Writing the CCF will disable the one touch window operation. To enable the one touch operation,
close the window completely, release the switch, pull up and hold the switch for one second.
Repeat the procedure on each window.
• The date and time will be reset.
• Once completed, it may take a few starting cycles for error messages on the instrument cluster
to disappear.
• You may hear a chime coming from the instrument cluster.
• If the key was turned to the OFF position too quickly after updating the CCF, the engine may
not start. Turn the key to the ON position for more than 15 seconds to allow the immobilization
system to synchronize before starting the engine.
• The navigation screen will turn o during CCF programming. The radio memory may be erased.
On 2010 and up vehicles, a low battery message may be displayed. Simply ignore it. The radio
memory and trip computer will be erased.
• On L359 up to 2012, the engine will only start after the electronics have shut down. To do so,
lock the doors and wait a few minutes.
• The viscous fan will stay engaged if the vehicle electronics are not allowed to shut down after
a CCF write was performed.
• The intelligent start and stop system (eco) will be disabled. It will reactivate automatically after
a few kilometers or engine starts.
• On 2017+vehicles, the PIVI Pro system needs to be resetted for some functionalities to be
applied. The Reset procedure; Press and hold the infotainment power button for 15 seconds
(until the infotainment screen turns o).
• On some 2017+ vehicles, enabling / disabling Auto High Beam Assist will require calling the fol-
lowing routine for changes to take eect, Menu--Service Test--IPMA-Image Processing Module
‘A’ -- Allow Central Conguratin Data Learning.
Changing a conguration using any other diagnostic tool may alter previous changes made to congu-
rations using the IIDTool.
4.10.3 Congurations backup
When connected for the rst time, the IIDTool made a backup of the conguration le (CCF) L322-02
and L322-06 and a backup of congurations stored inside the BPM (Body Processor) and LCM (light
control). L322-02 and L322-06 If the initial backup of one ECU failed, it will not be present in the list.
This will not a󰀨ect the other ECUs whose congurations were successfully saved. Pro : The backups
are made when entering the Car Conguration File menu.
4.10.4 Recovery procedure
If the Car Conguration File update fails, simply restart the process by either clicking on the upload
button or use the Restore CCF function located in the Save Restore Menu. (section 4.13)
