4 IIDTool Functions
4.1 Introduction to Functions
Each function meets one or more roles in achieving the following objectives (as dened in section 1.4) :
• Diagnose a problem resulting from a disorder of the electrical / vehicle electronic or mechanical
systems
• Personalize certain vehicle behaviors by changing settings
• Contribute to the success of a repair
• Administer ECUs
• IIDTool settings

dened in section 1.4.3. Denitions, roles and usage of each function are available on the following
