Step 7: Connect the Sample Inlet System
The flow from the water source should be disabled until the sample inlet system is completely
installed and the Analyzer is ready to begin analysis.
The Analyzer normally operates in On-Line mode to measure continuous sample flow, but it also
can be configured for Grab mode when necessary. Connect the sample inlet to the Analyzer as
described below in “Installing the Integrated On-Line Sample System” on page 76 or “Installing the
Grab Sample Inlet System” on page 77. The Analyzer only operates in Grab mode to take
measurements from flasks or other containers.
When taking measurements from vials (for example, for calibration and verification of the Analyzer),
no plumbing change is required, as 40-mL vials are simply inserted into the IOS System.
