CUSTOM / Connect A & Connect B
Programmable blocks Area
Connections can be made through the Keypad. This block function connects signals to
programmable block area, using drive parameters that are accessible through the PC
configurator tool or drive keypad menu.
Connect A It connects up to 7 analog input signals.
Connect B It connects up to 7 digital signals inputs.
The figure below shows an example of connections.
The programmable block area logic selects between 2 analog values and maps the
selected one to PAD 2.
The analog values come from the connect block, which in the example below, are
selected as PAD 0 & PAD 1.
The Connect block allows a user to change to other PADs (or any other signal in the
picklist) using the keypad or the EasyDrive. Similarly for the selector, it is mapped from
the Connect B block input 0.
Connect B input 0 defines the signal for selecting to be digital input 7.
By using the connect block in the user program, the digital input can be changed to
another digital input , LAN signal, APC100, or generic bit, in the field from the keypad.
