7.1 Manual Tuning of the Current Regulator
The manual tuning procedure below, can be used to change the
standard response time of current regulator.
The following procedure is recomended after executing Current Regulator
autotune.
Use a 2 channel digital scope.
Connect the probe of the scope, channel 1(CH1), on the XY4/XY5 test points
of the regulation card (see chapter 4.3.1).
Disable the drive: press [O] key (red key) for 2 seconds.
In the REG PARAM / Tst Gen menu set the following parameters:
E09.00 - Tst gen mode = [4] Magn curr ref
E09.01 - Gen Hi ref = 3000
E09.02 - Gen Low ref =0
E09.03 - Gen Period = 0.1 s
NOTE! Gen hi ref value is approximate; it depends on the drive size. The
setting must correspond to 20% of the Output current (This value can
be verified in the STATUS menu).
Enable the drive:
Terminal 12 should be active (+24V) and press [I] key (green key). Verify
and adjust the step response of the current regulator looking the leading
edge of the Output current (see figure 7.1.1).
For tuning, follow the steps below:
- In the REG PARAM / Curr regu menu, adjust the values of E01.00 -
CurrP gain % and E01.01 - CurrI gain % until the response of
current is approximatly 1 ms, without overshoot (see figure 7.1.2);
optimal response time of current regulator.
- Disable the drive: press [O] key (red key) for 2 seconds.
- Set E09.00 - Tst gen mode = [0] Off
- In the REG PARAM menu save the settings done via the SAVE
PARAMETERS command.
