Washing system
All supply lines must be closed when working on the pipe system.
• Check that the nozzle pipes on the machine rotate back and forth.
• Check that the holes in the nozzles are not clogged. Clean when necessary.
• Check that the coarse strainers in the bottom of the washing chamber are installed correctly.
Clean when necessary.
• Check if any screwed joints on the pump and chamber are leaking. Tighten and seal as
needed.
Temperature check
• Take a reference measurement of the temperature during a program. The time and temperature
are particularly important during the disinfection phase. The measuring equipment must be
capable of registering temperature and time continuously. High performance equipment is
important for reliable measuring results due to the relatively quick changes in temperature. One
measuring point placed below the normal Pt100 is needed for the function check.
Note: Washer disinfectors that have been shown not to meet the requirements in
terms of temperature, sequence, washing system and safety must not be used
until the errors have been corrected.
Dryer
• Check seals and hoses for leaks once a year.
• Replace the sterile filter once a year or as needed in case of alarm.
• Check the condensate water hoses from the dryer. Make sure that these are not clogged.
Printer (optional)
• Check the printout quality.
Conductivity transmitter (optional)
• Check the conductivity in a solution with a known conductivity once a year.
• The calibration should be completed when accuracy requires it, or when the conductivity is
incorrect according to the verification above.
pH transmitter (optional)
• Check the pH value in a known buffer solution once a month.
• The calibration should be performed when accuracy requires it or when the pH value is
incorrect according to the verification above.
Loading of System Program and Application Program
PACS 3500 has three kinds of PROM, two “System Prom” for the system program and one “Flash Prom”
for a back up of the application program. It’s possible to load the application program from CS1000 or
from the “Flash Prom”.
