10 SPECIFYING THE PEN CONDITIONS
10.3.3 Specifying the Cutting SPEED
The SPEED parameter is used to specify the travelling speed of either the lowered cutter pen during
cutting or the lowered plotting pen during plotting.
Select the SPEED setting while referring to the optimum SPEED setting for both your pen type and the
currently loaded medium.
Setting Procedure
(1) Press a function key from

to select the COND No. of the cutting conditions to be edited.
(2) Press the CONDITIONS key to display the menu below for specifying the cutting conditions.

(3) Press the
(SPEED) key to move the blinking cursor to the lower left position as shown in the
following gure.

(4) To change the SPEED setting, press the or POSITION key. Permissible SPEED values are:
1 through 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, and 65.
(5) When the displayed conditions are satisfactory, press the ENTER key. To exit this setting
operation without registering your new setting(s), press the NEXT PAGE key before pressing
the ENTER key.
