2.1 Plotter Nomenclature
FC4500-50 / FC4500-60
(1) Tool carriage : Drives the cutter pen/pen/creasing tool to the forward/backward.
(2) Tool holder : Holds the cutter pen/pen/creasing tool and drives it up/down.
(3) Pen station : Holds a pen.
(4) Y bar : Holds the tool carriage; moves left/right.
(5) Writing panel : Cutting/plotting is performed here.
(6) Control panel : Used to set and use the plotter’s various functions.
(7) USB interface connector : Used to connect the plotter to a computer via the USB interface.
(8) RS-232C interface connector : Used to connect the plotter to a computer via the RS-232C interface.
(9) AC line inlet : Connect one end of the power cord here and the other end to an
electrical socket.
(10) Power switch : Controls the on/off status of the power supply to the plotter.
(11) CHART HOLD key : Used to hold the medium. (FC4500–50 only)
