7.3 Updating the Firmware
Update the rmware to latest version when the main board was replaced or the rmware was updated.
To update the rmware you need to have the following les. In addition, you need to use a computer.
Firmware :FC4500_Vvvv.x (The
"vvv" is version number.)
SEND.EXE :Utility to transfer les using Windows
OPS662 :USB Driver software
Preparation
Install the USB Driver software to your computer before upgrading the rmware.
Connect the PC and FC4500 via the USB port.
Unzip the rmware le if it is zip le.
How to update the rmware
(1) Conrm that the Cutting Master 3, the Graphtec Studio or other software is not running on your PC,
which is communicating to the FC4500 during updating the rmware.
(2) Connect a PC and the FC4500 via the USB port.
(3) Set the DIP switch to “Normal mode” or “Adjustment mode.”
(4) Press both the “Right” and “Left” POSITION keys while turning on the power. When you hear a short
buzzer tone, release the keys. The LCD will display the following:
