6 REPLACEMENT PROCEDURES
(4) Measure the front X Belt tension by using the Push Pull tension gauge.
Press the lower-side belt at the middle part of the X belt, and measure the tension when the belt is
contacted to the bottom of front frame as shown in the picture below.
Adjust the X belt tension to the following values:
FC4500-50: 500 ± 25 gf
FC4500-60 / FC4510-60: 300 ± 25 g
Tighten the two tension adjustment screws at same rotary quantity when the tension is low.
Loosen the two tension adjustment screws at same rotary quantity when the tension is high.
Apply suitable quantity of the silicon grease to the X belt when you replace to new one.
(5) Tighten the M4L8 TP head screw holding the X Belt Tension Bracket after the X Belt tension was
adjusted.
