Task 2: Intrusion Detection
When people, vehicles or other objects enter a pre-defined virtual region, the intrusion detection alarm is
triggered.
The intrusion detection settings you configured on the DVR / HDVR side are only supported by analog
cameras.
1) Select Intrusion Detection from the drop-down list as the VCA event type.
2) Check the checkbox of Enable to enable the intrusion detection function.
3) Select the virtual region rule from the drop-down list of Intrusion Region.
4) Click the icon and then click on the live video to specify the four vertexes for the intrusion region.
You can click the icon to set the whole surveillance scene as the intrusion region.
You can click the icon to clear the region rules on the live video.
5) Click-and-drag the sensitivity bar to set the sensitivity for the intrusion detection.
6) Set the percentage and time threshold for intrusion detection.
Percentage: Range [1-100]. Percentage defines the ratio of the in-region part of the object which can
trigger the alarm. For example, if the percentage is set as 50%, when the object enters the region and
occupies half of the whole region, the alarm is triggered.
Time Threshold: Range [0-10s], the threshold for the time of the object loitering in the region. If you
set the value as 0, alarm is triggered immediately after the object entering the region.
7) Click Apply to save the new settings.
Up to 4 intrusion regions can be set for the intrusion detection.
The sensitivity value ranges from 1 to 100, and the default value is 50. The larger the value is, the
higher the detection sensitivity is.
