4 OPERATIONS
4.1 Summary of Operations
This section explains the basic operations and terminology necessary for the use of the
system.
4.1.1 Operation Units
The principal operations of the system involve the use of the mouse and the keyboard.
1. Operating the Mouse Executes processing and specifies settings.
1a. Mouse Cursor Moving the mouse moves an arrow on the screen (hand-shaped mark
or a micro-adjustment mark). Such a mark is referred to as a mouse cursor.
1b. Clicking Pressing and releasing a mouse button (either the right or left button) is
called clicking. In the Instruction Manual, holding down a mouse button (either the right or left
button) without moving the mouse is also referred to as clicking.
1c. Double-clicking Clicking a mouse button (either the right or left button) twice is
referred to as double-clicking.
1d. Dragging Moving the mouse while holding down a mouse button (either the right or
left button) is referred to as dragging.
2. Keyboard Operation The keyboard is used to type in characters, such as file names.
