(2) Connecting to the power supply
Use a proper plug for the power supply, and be sure to make a protective ground connection. Place the power
outlet in an easily removable location near the unit.
(3) Cautions on welding current of welding machine
WARNING
Flames are strictly prohibited around the unit.
Both ink and makeup are flammable. Sparks from welding can cause ignition or a fire. Avoid
sparks around the IJ Printer and provide sufficient ventilation, whether it is operating or not.
In the interest of safety, place a dry-chemical fire extinguisher near the product.
The signal (weak electric) ground and frame ground are connected to the unit, based on its principle of
charging ink drops.
Charge ink drops by applying a voltage between the charge
electrode and the ink column, as shown on the left.
Therefore, the ink always becomes signal ground. In addition,
since the ink is always connected to frame ground by the
clamp, etc. of the circulation path, separating signal ground
and frame ground is difficult.
