Configuring SNMP
The Web interface enables you to modify these parameters:
â– SNMPv1/v2c: Enables or disables SNMP version 1 and version 2c
management access, and also enables the access point to send SNMP
traps (notifications). (The default is Enabled.)
â– Community Name (RO): Defines the SNMP community access string
that has read-only access. Authorized management stations are only able
to retrieve MIB objects. Range 0-32 characters, (The default is public.)
â– Community Name (RW): Defines the SNMP community access string
that has read/write access. Authorized management stations are able to
both retrieve and modify MIB objects. Range 0-32 characters. (The default
is private.)
â– SNMPv3: Enables or disables SNMPv3 security functions. (The default
is Enabled.)
â– Engine ID: The Engine ID is a system assigned identifier which uniquely
identifies the access point in the agent's administrative domain.
â– Location: Text string defining the physical location of the access point,
as set on the Device Information screen.
â– Contact: Text string defining the name of the administrator of the access
point, as set on the Device Information screen.
â– Port: Defines the number specifying the port to which the SNMP server
will listen.(The default is 161.)
â– [Update]: Updates the SNMP settings.
