12 Multicast Configuration
About This Chapter
This chapter describes how to configure the following multicast services:

12.1.1 Configuring IGMP Snooping and Query Parameters
Use the Multicast > IGMP Snooping > General page to configure the switch to forward
multicast traffic intelligently. Based on the IGMP query and report messages, the switch
forwards multicast traffic only to the ports that request it. This prevents the switch from
broadcasting the traffic to all ports and possibly disrupting network performance.
To configure general settings for IGMP Snooping and Query:
1. Click Multicast, IGMP Snooping, General.
2. Adjust the IGMP settings as required.
3. Click Apply.
