5 Delivering a Bolus of Insulin
5. Review the bolus details on the Conrm Bolus screen.
Immediate bolus: e screen for an immediate bolus shows the carbs and
blood glucose values used for the bolus calculation and also the total bolus.
Extended bolus: In addition to the information on the immediate bolus
screen, the extended bolus screen also shows how much of the bolus will be
delivered immediately and how much will be extended.
Adjusted for IOB of x U
means that the Bolus
Calculator took IOB
into account (see
page 133–page 157).
