How to Develop and Install Applications
You need the Android SDK, the Intermec SDK Addon, and Intermec
SDKs for Android to develop applications for the CN51 running
Android.
To download and install the Android SDK, visit
developer.android.com/sdk/index.html. After you install the
Android SDK, you use SDK Manager to download and install the
Intermec SDK Addon.
Use the Intermec SDKs for Android to develop applications for the
computer. The SDKs can be downloaded from the Intermec website at
www.intermec.com/idl.
The SDKs are libraries of Java components grouped by functionality.
Intermec SDKs for Android include:
• Data Collection: Provides functionality for using the imager in
your application.
• Printing: Provides text-based report printing functionality for your
application.
After you develop applications, you can install the apps using:
• ScanNGo bar codes.
• management applications.
• web installs.
• ADB push to the device.
