Enable Scanner Control from Web Applications
By default, web applications cannot control the scanner. You can
enable scanner control from web applications in the Settings app.
1 Start the Settings app.
2 Tap Scanners > Security.
3 Select Web access.
Use the Scan Demo App
Use the Scan Demo app to read bar codes, or to test your symbology
decode settings.
1 In the All Apps screen, tap Scan Demo .
2 Aim the scanner window at the bar code and press Scan, or pull the
scan handle trigger.
When the scanner successfully scans the bar code, you hear a high
beep, and the Good Read LED turns on briefly. A list of bar code
information appears.
3 To clear all scanned bar code information, tap and select Clear
All.
