GS1 Composite Settings
This section lists all configurable settings for decoding the GS1
Composite symbology.
User defined
symbology ID
Sets the symbology ID for EAN-13. Range is 1 to 4
ASCII characters. \xFF is not supported.
Default is F.
Code mark A one-character code mark that serves as an
identifier for EAN-13. Default is F.
GS1 Composite Settings and Descriptions
Setting Description
GS1-128 emulation Enables or disables transmission of data
encoded in the Composite symbol as if
the data were encoded in one or more
GS1 Composite/GS1-128 symbols.
Default is disabled.
Linear only transmit mode Enables or disables transmission of only
the linear portion of the GS1 composite
bar code.
Default is disabled.
EAN/UPC comp message decode Determines how to decode the two parts
of the GS1 Composite bar code. Options
include:
• Never linked
• Always linked
• Auto-discriminate
Unconventional GS1 Composite Enables or disables decoding of
Unconventional GS1 Composite.
Default is disabled.
