Set a Preamble, Postamble, or Symbology
Identifier
You use the Settings app to set the preamble, postamble, and
symbology identifier type for decoding.
• Preamble and postamble strings are applied to all successful reads.
• If you enable the code mark or user-defined symbology identifier,
you need to specify the string in the decode settings for that
symbology.
1 Start the Settings app and tap Scanners > Internal Scanner >
Symbology Options.
2 Tap Preamble or Postamble, use the onscreen keypad to type the
preamble or postamble string, and tap OK when you are done.
To set the symbology identifier type, in the Symbology Options
list tap Symbology identifier and select an option in the list. Your
changes are automatically saved.
