Codabar Settings
This section lists all configurable settings for decoding the Codabar
symbology.
Codabar Settings and Descriptions
Setting Description
Start/Stop transmit Enables or disables a special bar code character that
provides the scanner with start and stop reading
instructions as well as a scanning direction
indicator. Options include:
• Disable (default)
• a,b,c,d
• A,B,C,D
• a,b,c,d/t,n,*,e
• DC1,DC2,DC3,DC4
CLSI library system Enables or disables the CLSI library system. Default
is disabled.
Verify check digit Enables or disables the optional check digit for a
higher level of security. Default is disabled.
Transmit check digit Enables or disables transmission of the check digit
as part of the bar code data. Default is disabled.
Concatentation Enables or disables concatentation of Codabar bar
codes. Options include:
• Disable (default)
• Transmit concatenation only: Scanner sends only
concatenated bar code data.
• Transmit concatenation or single: Scanner sends
all bar code data.
Concatentation mode Sets the concatenation mode. Options include:
• No restriction (default)
• 2nd code = 1st code start
• ABC
User defined
symbology ID
Sets the symbology ID for Codabar. Range is 1 to 4
ASCII characters. \xFF is not supported.
Default is B7.
Code mark A one-character code mark that serves as an
identifier for BPO. Default is D.
