Matrix 2 of 5 Settings
This section lists all the configurable settings for decoding the Matrix
2 of 5 symbology.
Code mark A one-character code mark that serves as
an identifier for Japan Post.
Default is *.
Matrix 2 of 5 Settings and Descriptions
Settings Descriptions
Start/Stop Enables or disables a special bar code
character that provides the scanner with
start and stop reading instructions.
Options include:
• Regular (default)
• ChinaPost
User defined symbology ID Sets the symbology ID for Matrix 2 of 5.
Range is 1 to 4 ASCII characters. \xFF is
not supported.
Default is B4.
Code mark A one-character code mark that serves as
an identifier for Matrix 2 of 5.
Default is D.
Matrix 2 of 5 Length Mode Settings and Descriptions
Setting Description
Mode Sets the length mode for Matrix 2 of 5 decoding.
Options include:
• Length 1 minimum (default)
• Lengths 1,2,3 fixed
• Length 1 minimum, length 2 maximum
Length 1 Restricts the length of the bar code that the scanner
will read. Range is 0 to 255. Default is 6.
