Code 39 Settings
This topic lists all settings for decoding the Code 39 symbology.
Code 11 Length Mode Settings and Descriptions
Setting Description
Length Mode Sets the length mode for decoding. Options include:
• Length 1 minimum (default)
• Lengths 1,2,3 fixed
• Length 1 minimum, length 2 maximum
Length 1 Restricts the length of the bar code that the scanner
will read. Range is 0 to 255. Default is 4.
Length 2 Restricts the length of the bar code that the scanner
will read. Range is 0 to 255. Default is 0.
Length 3 Restricts the length of the bar code that the scanner
will read. Range is 0 to 255. Default is 0.
Code 39 Settings and Descriptions
Setting Description
Full ASCII conversion Enables or disables full ASCII conversion. Default is
disabled.
Start/stop
transmission
Enables or disables a special bar code character that
provides the scanner with start and stop reading
instructions as well as a scanning direction
indicator. Default is disabled.
Start character Sets the start character to $ only, *only, or both $
and *. Default is *.
Verify check digit Sets the check digit for a higher level of security. The
check character is positioned between the final data
character and the stop character. Options include:
• Disable (default)
• Modulo 43
• French CIP
• Italian CPI
• HIBC
• AIAG
