About the Scanner
The internal scanner can read 1D and 2D bar code symbologies,
composite symbologies, and postal codes.
Disable the Scanner
The scanner is enabled by default. You can disable the scanner from
the Settings app. When the scanner is disabled:
• you cannot make changes to scanner or symbology decode settings,
and your current settings are saved.
• pressing the Scan button (or triggering the scanner through
software) has no effect.
When you enable the scanner, your settings and all triggering methods
are restored.
1 Start the Settings app.
2 Tap Scanners.
Note: Disabling the scanner also disables symbology decoding.
