Standard 2 of 5 Settings
This section lists all configurable settings for decoding the Standard 2
of 5 symbology.
Standard 2 of 5 Settings and Descriptions
Setting Description
Format Sets the number of start/stop bars to use
for decoding Standard 2 of 5. Options
include:
• Identicon, 6 s/s bars (default)
• Comp Identics, 4 s/s bars
Verify check digit Enables or disables the optional check
digit for a higher level of security.
Options include:
• Disable (default)
• Modulo 10
Transmit check digit Enables or disables transmission of the
check digit as part of the data in a bar
code.
Default is disabled.
User defined symbology ID Sets the symbology ID for Standard 2 of
5. Range is 1 to 4 ASCII characters. \xFF is
not supported.
Default is B5.
Code mark A one-character code mark that serves as
an identifier for Standard 2 of 5.
Default is D.
Standard 2 of 5 Length Mode Settings and Descriptions
Setting Description
Mode Sets the length mode for Standard 2 of 5 decoding.
Options include:
• Length 1 minimum (default)
• Lengths 1,2,3 fixed
• Length 1 minimum, length 2 maximum
