Before you call Product Support, have this information ready:
Configuration number (CN) and serial number (SN), printed on a
label inside the battery compartment.
Operating system version
Power management settings
Wireless security settings
Most information is available in the Settings app.
Locate the Build Version and Configuration String Using the
Settings App
Before you call Product Support, you should have the Android build
version and computer configuration string handy for reference. You
can find this information in the Settings app.
1 Start the Settings app and tap About phone. The Android build
version is located at the bottom of this list of information.
2 Tap Status. The computer configuration string is located at the
bottom of this list.
Note: If the computer is locked up and you cannot start the Settings
app, you can find the configuration string (beginning with the
characters “CN51”) on the label on the access door inside the battery
compartment.
