Appendix 3 CPU Board
The CPU board contains a number of potentiometers for controlling
various sensors. It also contains straps and circuits for setting
the type of communication on the standard serial port "uart:",
see Appendix 4.
Before touching the CPU board, carefully read this:
Check that the power on control lamp at the top/front corner of the
board is off. If not, disconnect the power cord.
Take precautions to prevent electrostatic discharge
Only use non-conductive tools. There is low-voltage power
on the CPU board even when the printer is switched off and
disconnected.
The CPU board is tted with four potentiometers with the following
functions:
Display contrast adjustment (see Chapter 13)
Label stop sensor (LSS) adjustment
Label taken sensor (LTS) adjustment
Ribbon end sensor (R-End) adjustment
