All EasyCoder 501 printer models are tted with a DB25pin male
interface connector on their rear plates (communication port
"uart1:"). This connector can be used for an RS-232, an RS-422, or
a 20 mA current loop interface depending on how the CPU board is
strapped. In the latter two cases, additional circuits must be tted. The
con guration of the connection cable is also important.
If the printer is ordered without any connection cable, a suitable cable
can be procured locally and, if necessary, be modi ed according to
the pinout descriptions in this chapter.
