Appendix 4 Interfaces
Standard Interface "uart1:", cont.
20 mA Current Loop, cont.
On the CPU board, check:
Optocouplers must be tted on IC-205 and IC-206. These are not
included as standard and must be ordered separately.
Jumper must be tted on middle position of P-202 to select
20 mA current loop.
Any RS-422 circuit tted on IC-207 (optional), RS-232 circuit
tted on IC-200 (standard), and jumpers tted on P-204 to P-209
or on P-200 are of no consequence.
P-203 External 5 Volt
Jumper tted connects +5V to pin 16. Caution! Max. 200 mA.
Be careful not to enable the external 5V unintentionally, which
may cause harm to the terminal, PC, or other device connected
to this port!
Cable confi guration
The printer end of the connection cable should have a DB-25pin
female connector. The computer end of the cable depends on your
type of computer.
The printers connector contains the following signals:
Pin 9 + 20 mA
Pin 10 20 mA
Pin 11 TXD +
Pin 12 TXD
Pin 13 + 20 mA*
Pin 14 20 mA*
Pin 16 + 5 VDC, 200 mA (if jumper tted on P-203)
Pin 18 RXD +
Pin 25 RXD
*. In case of printer being active receiver.
