Front and Rear Axles
Checking the Oil Level
!MCAUTION
The axle oil level must be checked with the machine
level, otherwise a false indication of the amount of oil
in the axle will be given.

!MCAUTION
It is not recommended that the machine be driven with
the axle partially filled with oil.

1 Make the machine safe with the loader arm lowered.
Refer to Prepare the Machine for Maintenance.
2 Clean the area around the fill/level plug A.
3 Remove the fill/level plug A and its seal, the oil should
be level with the bottom of the hole.
4 If necessary, add the recommended oil to the system
through the fill/level plug hole.
5 Clean then install the fill/level plug A and its seal.
6 Tighten the fill/level plug A to 85 Nm (60 lbf ft).
