7.2 Easy Alu function
The Easy Alu function automatically recognises the Alu
required by the operator and the rim dimension
parameters.
Once the wheel data has been measured, the machine
presents only the possible Alus.
Preparations:
Compensation run carried out, if necessary (see
6.4).
Wheel correctly clamped (see 6.3).
Select the Vehicle type (Chapter 7.1.1).
Note:
Thanks to the Easy Alu function after the operator has
taken the rim measurements using the gauges, in the
weight application positions the machine electronically
processes the wheel data and automatically proposes
an ALU mode, on the basis of the contact positions
chosen by the operator.
Suggestion
Even if it is available, we suggest you do not select the ALU
mode manually for normal balancing procedures.
Changing the ALU from Menu F2 in fact, if carried out
before or after a run, cancels the use of the Real Data
obtained with the Easy Alu procedure.
The machine proceeds by processing the Real Data as
if they were Nominal Data (entered manually). Balancing
will not be as precise and no more ALU P modes will be
available even if selected.
7.2.1 Rim dimension reading and setting
and Alu Mode
Important
Apart from Alu 2P and 3P that only the internal gauge is
used for the remaining Alu0, Alu1, Alu4 and Alu5 modes
the width of the rim must always be entered manually on
the keyboard.
The OK indication and recommendation for
optimisation, as well as the optimisation procedure
itself, will only be accurate if the rim width has been
correctly entered.
