theProgramSelect/Mi
xertab),andsetupanyother
Timbreparametersasdesired.
Toaddfinishingtouchestothesound,setuptheInsert,
Master,andTotalEffectasdesired(ontheP8:Routing/
IFXandP9:MFX/TFX/LFOpages,respectively.)These
effectscanbedifferentfromthoseassociatedwiththe
individualProgramsinProgrammode,ifde
sired.

Whenyou’reintheprocessofeditingasound,
pressingtheCOMPAREbuttonwillrecallthesaved
versionofthesound,asitwasbeforeyoustarted
editing.

Layers, Splits, and Velocity
Switches
WithinaCombination,youcanusenoterangeand
velocityleveltodefinethe“zone”inwhichaspecific
timbrewillplay.
TheProgramsassignedtoeachTimbrecanbeplayed
inthreeways:aspartofalayer,asplit,oravelocity
switch.ACombinationcanbesettouseanyoneof
thesemethodsortousetwoormoreofthesemethods
simultaneously.
Layer

Split
SplitscausedifferentProgramstorespondondifferent
areasofthekeyboard.
Velocity Switch

eachofuptosixteenTimbres,andcombinetwoor
moreoftheabovemethodstocreateevenmore
complexsetups.
Asanadditionalpossibility,yo
ucansettheslopefora
keyzoneorvelocityzonesothatthevolume
diminishesgradually.Thisletsyouchangeasplitintoa
keyboardcrossfade,oravelocityswitchintoavelocity
crossfade.
