7.7.2 Charging the new battery
The battery is supplied with a dry charge ; it is necessary to
charge it operating as follows :
•
remove the battery as indicated on § 7.7.1
•
fill the elements till the maximum level mark with a
solution of sulphuric acid and distilled water having a
density of 1,26
•
let it sit for half an hour
•
carry out the initial charge with a current equal to 1/10 of
the battery capacity (18 Ah) for 10-12 hours
•
if necessary, top up with distilled water at the end of the
charge
7.8 “DUCATI” VOLTAGE REGULATOR -

It is composed of an aluminium box containing the diodes
to rectify the current produced by the generator.

7.7.2 Chargement de la batterie nouvelle
La batterie est fournie avec charge à sec ; il est nécéssaire
de la charger en opérant comme suit :
•
enlever la batterie comme indiqué au § 7.7.1
•
remplir les éléments jusqu’à l’encoche du niveau
maximum avec une solution d’acide sulphurique et eau
distillée ayant une densité de 1,26
•
laisser reposer pour une demie heure
•
effectuer le premier chargement à un courant égal à
1/10 du pouvoir de la batterie (18 Ah) pour 10-12
heures ;
•
si nécéssaire, remplir avec de l’eau à la fin du
chargement ;
