Before installing the intrusion switch, touch the static-protective package that contains the new intrusion
switch to any unpainted surface on the outside of the server. Then, take the new intrusion switch out of the
package and place them on a static-protective surface.

Note: The intrusion switch can only be installed in riser 1 assembly (LP/FHFL). The riser bracket in which the
intrusion switch is installed might be different from the illustration below, but the installation method is the
same. For different types of supported riser bracket, see Figure 105 “Riser 1 assembly (LP/FHFL) installation”
on page 126.
Step 1. Insert the intrusion switch into the riser bracket and push it in the direction as shown until it is fully
seated.
