3.0 The day-to-day weighing process
How do I use the keypad to enter text?
Youcanenternumbers,lettersorsymbolsonanyscreenthathasaflashingcursor,forexamplethe Data
Entry and Edit? screens.TheIndicatorhasakeypadofbuttons,witheachusedtoselectandenterarangeof
characters.Whenabuttonispressed,thefirstcharacterwillappearonscreen.Ifyoupressthebuttonagain
withinonesecond,thenextcharacterwilldisplay.Ifyoucontinuetopressthebutton,eachcharacterinthe
rangewilldisplayinturnuntilthefirstcharacterisdisplayedagain.Onesecondafterabuttonispressed,the
characterwillbeenteredandthecursorwillmovetothenextspace.Youcanthenenteranothercharacter.
TIP – Predictivetextisavailableonsomescreens,ifithasbeenenabledduring
installation.Thismeansthatyoumayonlyneedtoenterthefirstfewcharactersofa
wordforthewholewordtodisplayonscreen.
